Where to eat

No Yelp ratings: Yelp still returns HTTP 403 to automated loads, so none are shown. Descriptions are from Michelin and the restaurants' own pages. Price signs are Michelin's.

Kin Khao, Union Square, SF (55 Cyril Magnin St, in the Parc 55) · Thai/Californian · $$$. Michelin praises Chef Pim Techamuanvivit's layered, produce-driven Thai cooking, like the hor mok curry mousse and a green curry with local rabbit, and warns some dishes are very spicy. Its own site: lunch daily 11:30 am–2 pm; dinner Sun–Thu 5:30–9 pm. (415) 362-7456. Handy before Manon or for Union Square hotel guests.

Nopalito, NoPa, SF (306 Broderick St) · Mexican/Californian · $$. Michelin: a cheerful, sustainability-minded spot for blue-corn fish tacos, chilaquiles verdes and a must-order pulled-pork taco; save room for the concha. No reservations, so expect a wait. Michelin lists 11:30 am–9 pm daily except Wednesday (4:30–9 pm).

Burdell, Temescal, Oakland (4640 Telegraph Ave) · contemporary American/Southern · $$$. Michelin: Chef Geoff Davis's personal take on soul food, like berbere collards, pickle-brined fried chicken and chicken liver mousse with cornmeal waffle, plus a strong wine list. Michelin lists Sunday brunch 11 am–2 pm and dinner 5–8 pm; closed Mon and Tue.

Where to stay

Per SF Travel, Union Square has most major hotels and is the transit hub (BART, Muni, cable cars), and it puts you near Kin Khao and the opera. Nob Hill is the upscale, romantic pick, and SoMa and Dogpatch are flat and walkable toward Chase Center. https://www.sftravel.com/neighborhoods

Assumptions and refresh
  • Public data only, from pages opened Sun Oct 25, 2026, around 2 pm PT (weather, flood advisory, Caltrans, BART and SFMTA re-checked; event pages re-loaded, Sharks game confirmed via NHL schedule data; restaurants, fares, bikes and SFO carried from earlier briefs). Nobody was contacted and nothing was signed up for.
  • This is a snapshot. BayAreaDailySync refreshes it every 8 hours (6 am, 2 pm, 10 pm PT), re-checks uncertain items, and drops events it can't confirm on an official page.
  • Ratings appear only if read on an opened page and date-stamped. Yelp is still blocked.
  • Times are Pacific. Prices are as listed on the cited pages.

  10. Asian Art Museum regular hours (still only from a third-party guide).
  11. Halloween (Oct 31) events beyond SFMTA's closure list.
