Where to eat

No Yelp ratings (Yelp blocks automated loads). Michelin's site blocked scripted loads this run, so Michelin descriptions are carried from earlier briefs where they were confirmed. Rotated picks.

Kin Khao, Union Square, SF (55 Cyril Magnin St) · Thai/Californian · $$$. Michelin praises its layered, produce-driven Thai cooking and warns some dishes are very spicy. Its own site (checked today): lunch daily 11:30 am–2 pm; dinner Sun–Thu 5:30–9 pm, Fri–Sat 5:30–10 pm. (415) 362-7456. Easy walk before Friday's Manon. https://www.kinkhao.com/

State Bird Provisions, Fillmore, SF (1529 Fillmore St) · Californian · Michelin One Star. Dim sum-style carts of seasonal California small plates; the menu changes often and reservations can be hard to get. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/california/san-francisco/restaurant/state-bird-provisions

Anchor Oyster Bar, Castro, SF (579 Castro St) · seafood. Michelin calls it a tiny, old-fashioned counter spot with lines out the door, known for crab cakes, chowder, raw oysters and cioppino. Right by Saturday's Castro Halloween, so expect crowds. Hours unconfirmed. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/california/san-francisco/restaurant/anchor-oyster-bar

Kokkari Estiatorio, Jackson Square, SF (200 Jackson St) · Greek (carried). A Greek favorite pairing San Francisco chic with old-world taverna hospitality. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/california/san-francisco/restaurant/kokkari-estiatorio

Where to stay

Per SF Travel, Union Square has most major hotels and the best transit links, and is a short walk to SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Gardens for Saturday; Hayes Valley and Civic Center put you by the opera; Mission Bay is closest to Chase Center for Friday's Warriors game; Union Square also puts you a block from Kin Khao. https://www.sftravel.com/neighborhoods
